The Health Economics Analytics Laboratory (HEAL) was organized by Dr. Jerome Dugan (PI) and Dr. Layla Booshehri (co-PI) to apply the latest computational and data-driven techniques to address policy failures in the healthcare and welfare system.

Our research agenda has three main goals:

  • Evaluate clinical interventions to improve physical/mental health

  • Measure how health status is impacted by individual and group decisions

  • Determine optimal design/regulation of healthcare networks

The work of HEAL will accomplish these goals by combining traditional approaches to economic modeling with more contemporary quantitative methodologies.
